Instructor Spotlight : Anna Doe

If you’ve ever taken a Monday morning class at Sweat Fixx Arlington, you’ve probably been greeted by the powerhouse energy of Anna Doe. A mom of four with over a decade of group fitness instructing experience, Anna brings unmatched strength, passion, and positivity to every workout she leads.

Anna has been part of the Sweat Fixx community for years, teaching at both our Wakefield and Arlington studios along the way. Her classes are the perfect mix of challenging and motivating — the kind that leave you sweaty, strong, and smiling.

You can catch Anna teaching every Monday at 9AM in our Arlington studio, setting the tone for your week with her contagious energy and expert coaching.

How did her journey at Sweat Fixx Start?

  • How long have you been at Sweat Fixx and what caused you to want to join the team? I joined SF in March of 2020! Even though it was a crazy time in the world, I was so impressed with how quickly the SF team embraced me and continued to show up for our clients. That type of environment was exactly what I was looking for. I loved how everyone at SF always supports each other. It was the main reason I wanted to join because it really felt like a team!
  • What your favorite class is to teach/take and why? My favorite class to take and teach is HIIT fixx. I love the quick pace of the class as we move on and off the rowers. While I teach the class, I love how creative I can be. Our clients show up ready to work and I love to throw things at them at HIIT because the quick switches enable them to do anything if they set their mind to it. I also love when we are able to partner in HIIT – our clients really show up for each other and are constantly pushing one another to be stronger both mentally and physically. It’s especially fun when you take class and get to partner with a client!
  • What’s one piece of advice you would give someone new who is trying out SF for the first time? Do not stress about other people in the room or the rower monitor ( I promise it gets easier after a class or two)! Remember that everyone started new at one point and just focus on yourself for the first few classes. If you have to modify, do not worry! Everyone has got something going on whether or not you realize it. We are all here to get a good workout in and enjoy ourselves. No one judges you!

  • What’s one song that instantly gets you hyped during a workout? Currently. Golden from K Pop Demon Hunters. Over the years, anything Eminem 
  • If you could design your dream Sweat Fixx workout, what would it look like? A HIIT based workout with lots of 150-200m pushes on the rower followed by lots of squat thrusters, devils sprawls, sit up and presses, etc – aka anything that is working full body!!
  • How do you like to spend your time outside the studio? I spend most of my time with my husband and children but have recently gotten into tennis! It’s been fun to be back in a team sport!
  • What’s a fun fact about you that most people don’t know? I’m one of 6 (I’m 5th out of 6) and love having a big family! Hence my four children hah!
  • If you could only use one piece of equipment for the rest of your life, what would it be? Treadmill – I love running but also have been loving an incline walk with a weighted vest!
  • Early bird or night owl? Early bird – I am usually in bed by 9 pm!
  • What’s one fitness trend you hope never comes back? I honestly don’t love any type of trends! One of my favorite things about SF is how you can participate in classes at any age and any level! People are showing up to take care of themselves and their bodies. I prefer healthy choices for life vs treads!
