Instructor Spotlight: Kelsey (O’Keefe) Angelo

Meet Kelsey!
We’re back with another Instructor Spotlight, and this week we’re thrilled to re-introduce Kelsey (O’Keefe) Angelo! An amazing strength and conditioning instructor at Sweat Fixx Wakefield!
This boss lady started as a long-time client — and we knew right away she was meant to be on our instructor team. Spoiler alert: she’s been nothing short of amazing ever since.
You can catch Kelsey all over the schedule in our Wakefield studio, leading classes with her signature energy and strength. She also works privately with clients in 1:1 sessions and is always jumping into classes herself — because she practices what she preaches.
Kelsey brings the best energy, is always up for a challenge, and is the ultimate team player. She’s strong AF and such a valued part of our Sweat Fixx community.
Get to know your trainer!
- How long have you been at Sweat Fixx and what caused you to want to join the team? I became a client in 2021 and joined the team as an instructor in 2023. I was a multi sport athlete my entire life, so after College I was missing community aspect of fitness. I joined as a client because SF provides that community, and I wanted to become an instructor to give back to that community and help provide that outlet for others.
- What your favorite class is to teach/take and why? ROW is by far my favorite class to teach & take! I enjoy the cardio pushes and having goals to achieve. It helps me track my personal progress with long pushes, and you still get a solid mix of strength in class (which I love)! Plus, there are a lot of unique formats to play with for a ROW block!
- What’s one piece of advice you would give someone new who is trying out SF for the first time? Stick with it and be open to trying all class styles! The first few classes might seem overwhelming, but I promise once you grasp the class format and begin forming new relationships, you’ll be so glad you stayed with us! Everyone starts somewhere, and we’re here to help you take the first step!

- What’s one song that instantly gets you hyped during a workout Any throwback remix on SoundCloud.
- If you could design your dream Sweat Fixx workout, what would it look like? A holiday theme ROW class with ALL core using puns to replace exercise names. And of course, the finale would be the Kelsey special!
- If you could only use one piece of equipment for the rest of your life, what would it be? Kettlebell
- What’s a fun fact about you that most people don’t know? I was on a TV game show when I was younger
- Which Sweat Fixx class challenges you the most personally—and why? ROW! It’s my absolute favorite, but challenges me the most. It’s helped me work on my endurance but challenges me to steady my breath while still lifting heavy and focusing on growing stronger
- If you could have any job in the world wat would it be? Own and manage my own hospitality group consisting of event venues & restaurants. My husband and I both have a passion for the industry, this would be the dream for us!
- Early bird or night owl? I used to be a big night owl, but SF changed me into an early bird
- If Sweat Fixx had superlatives, what would you win (most likely to…)? Most likely to have a pattern and theme throughout class and most likely talk to much and forget to start class on time
